    This is not just the best Steve's Music store, it's the best music store in Montreal, period. The staff is super friendly, helpful and the store manager Gilles always has good recommendations and knows his products very well. Vanessa is very helpful and knows her way around recording gear. This is always my first stop and always ends up my last stop when buying musical instruments or recording gear. Strongly recommend!

    It's not what it used to be... A sad but true reality of our digital age. As an amateur musician it is still exciting to visit though.

    When it comes to the more popular instruments like guitar, bass, drums, piano, etc they have a nice wide selection of different sorts. However I came in looking for a violin to buy but the selection I saw was just 2 of them hanging on the wall. One was not my size so the only options I had were none. But as stated above, if you are looking for instruments that are more popular to learn, you will have a nice wide selection coupled with workers who are willing to help.

    Great selections and very helpful staff. If they don't have it ask for it. Very happy to have a good instrument shop in my area.
